It was built in 1889 by Andrew Jackson Borden and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It was designed by Fall River architect Joseph M. Darling, who also notably designed several schools in the city. After Andrew's murder in 1892, the building was occupied by various businesses and owned by his daughter, Lizzie Borden until her death in 1927.〔(MHC Inventory Form )〕 The J.J.
